    You will most likely be given a Lawful Development Certificate from your local council – all you need to do is apply for it! You should have in mind that the granny annexe cannot be used as a primary residence, as it’s one of the conditions of the regulations. You will also need to make sure that the building is not on the edge of the property – you can find out more in our Planning Permission page.

  • Can I use a granny annexe all year long?

    Most of our granny annexes are suitable to be enjoyed year-round, however, the insulation level depends on which version of the model you decide to go with. Some customers also use electric heaters for added comfort and cosiness. We recommend checking out the extras – PVC windows and doors, a twin skin construction, and others.   • Is it difficult to install a granny annexe?

    It depends on which model you pick and the size of it, but it’s not a difficult task for a small group of people – if the model is of an average size, such a group could install it in around a week. It takes a bit longer than usual because we also supply additional parts that would be useful if the building was to be moved to a different place.
