Questions & Answers

Can I live in my garden room?
In essence, garden rooms aren’t meant to be lived in all year round – they’re usually on the smaller side and have one open space, even though some models also have a separate bathroom. Some of our bigger models can be great for temporary stays, as they have more separate spaces, bathrooms, and are designed having bigger needs in mind. If you’re curious about finding a primary residence, we recommend checking out our granny annexes.
-
Do I need planning permission for a garden room?
It depends on a few aspects, including the purpose, the size, and the technical characteristics of your chosen model, but they’re really worth checking out to avoid additional steps with your purchase. If you’re wondering what size garden room without planning permission you could get, you can also refer to our Planning Permission page and see the list of requirements – do they align with what you have in mind?
-
What type of garden room construction can I choose from?
We offer quite a few garden room construction options, including tongue and groove log wall construction, one with vertical cladding, SIPs, and timber frame construction. The choice depends on your budget, insulation, design preferences, and more. You can find detailed information and visuals on our page about the types of building construction. Take a look!
-
How and when will my garden room be delivered?
Your garden room will be delivered to the nearest kerbside of your address. As to the ‘when’, it depends on whether the garden room is in stock. If you chose to go for a bespoke project, the delivery may take longer as well. To find out specific delivery times, the costs, and how the process works in detail, visit our Delivery page.
-
How long will my garden room last?
All our garden rooms come with a warranty of either 5 or 10 years, depending on the size and wall thickness of the garden room. Your chosen model will serve you for years if it’s professionally assembled and properly maintained. The accessories are given a 2 year warranty. If you’d like to read up on the conditions that make the warranty applicable, including maintenance, take a look at our Warranty page.

How much does a garden room cost?
In general, the price for an insulated garden room for all-year-round use starts at £3500-4000. This price range covers a compact insulated structure. If you want to enjoy additional benefits, various additional options are available to enhance your experience. For example, you could upgrade any selected model with a cosy outdoor terrace. -

10 Most Beautiful Garden Room Design Plans
Do what you love in your 4m x 3m garden room
If you like having open, uncluttered spaces in your home and you get the feeling that you’d like to make room for your new hobbies or create a work station, building a 4m x 3m garden room could be a smart way to make it happen. Feel free to separate your work life from your downtime by having dedicated spaces for each activity. Our 4m x 3m garden rooms are cute, cosy and welcoming – and it will be a piece of cake to decorate the open layout according to your liking. Then all you have to do is enjoy your latest project and show it off!
Traditional 4m x 3m garden rooms versus modern delights
The design is, of course, quite important, as it will set the tone for your garden, whether by creating a cosy atmosphere or highlighting elegance and subtlety. Whichever the case, expect your new 4m x 3m garden room to bring refinement and many opportunities for chit-chats in the sun.
Our traditional 4m x 3m garden rooms are also our best-sellers: meet POOLHOUSE and CLOCKHOUSE! These stylish models feature large floor-to-ceiling windows, roof overhangs, double-pitched roofs, and open layouts ready to be decorated. CLOCKHOUSE has an interesting detail on its roof – a clock that is definitely going to be the centre of attention and admiring glances. Meanwhile, the 4m x 3m garden room POOLHOUSE is very aesthetically pleasing due to its symmetrical lines and a roof with a smaller slope, making the building seem more open and welcoming. The modern 4m x 3m garden rooms EMMY, PIA, TONIA, and EVELIN feature vertical cladding, which can create a lasting impression and make the buildings look taller. If you’re not a fan of strict symmetry, we recommend looking up TONIA, as this 4m x 3m garden room features a playful, off-centred roof. Check out these models and choose the shapes and styles that are most pleasing to you!
When it comes to 4x3 m garden rooms, insulation is key
If the contemporary 4x3 m garden rooms have your interest, it’s worth mentioning that the models with vertical cladding can be insulated just like the traditional ones due to the air gap between the wall and the cladding, which is where the insulation is placed. Quick-garden.co.uk offers basic and advanced insulation options that will help you enjoy your 4x3 m garden room in the colder months too. The other models, POOLHOUSE and CLOCKHOUSE, have insulated flatpack garden room versions, which you can choose in the drop-down menu on the product page. It will change the price, however, when it comes to comfort and saving on energy costs further down the line, these flatpack garden room kit upgrades are truly worth it!
Flatpack garden room customisation options
We can’t ignore one of the most significant benefits of prefabricated construction – the ability to change the structure according to your plans. Check out the extra features under each model to see what we mean, as they might include certain upgrades that could help you get the flatpack garden room ready for daily use faster. Maybe it could be an internal bathroom kit, PVC windows and doors, or a timber frame base – it all depends on the model. However, if you’re looking for something that’s not listed, our experts will help you find a solution, as it could even be a bespoke flatpack garden room. When it comes to your needs, we’re all ears.
